Syracuse Film Festival

S2S is very proud to announce that we have been asked by the Syracuse International Film Festival to set up a website for one of their ongoing projects.

The Video Postcard Project involves schools in four different countries, where students create videos of their neighborhoods and submit them for review.

The Film Festival runs from April 25th thru May 4th. Lots of great movies that you will never see in the theaters.

We want to thank the Syr Film Fest for donating tickets for us to watch some of these movies.

More Wandering

We happened to find ourselves at the Everson Museum the other day. Hmm funny how that happens...

But seriously Jake and I've been doing some talking about starting a photography club. And with the weather turning better and our ideal downtown location, Im seeing a lot more wandering ahead.

Syracuse College Fair

The S2S crew will be walking down to the beautiful Oncenter complex in downtown Syracuse for the annual College Fair tomorrow. Nearly 250 colleges and universities from around the country will be at the fair, trying to meet prosective students and parents.Should be a fun time!

The Bomb-itty Of Errors

Last week the 9th graders went to Syracuse Stage to see the acclaimed comedy, a modern day remake of Shakespeares Comedy of Errors.

Free Breakfast? Do the Math!

I've been doing some thinking and came up with an idea. Since our bimonthly breakfasts are so popular, I'm trying to see if I can entice more students to show up for breakfast as well as participate in the blog and do some math. Talk about killing three birds with one stone!

I'll be offering one lucky student a FREE breakfast each time we run the cafe, by answering a math question I will be posting on the blog. All you will need to do is answer it correctly and either write the answer with your first name in the comments section of hand it to me in class. We will draw one lucky winner every 2 weeks and invite them to our breakfast.
